Getting to know... Bolinda Hoeksma

As a member of the LCRDM Advisory Board, I represent the University of Applied Sciences sector and work to strengthen the connection with the Digital Competence Center for Practice-Based Research (DCC-PO). I contribute to discussions on sector-relevant topics, propose ideas for LCRDM task groups, and help shape network events to meet the needs of professionals in the field. In my daily role, I’m a manager at the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht library. I focus on improving research support, particularly in Research Data Management and Open Science. I also actively connect HU to the wider Open Science community—for instance, through collaboration with the Open Science Community Utrecht, where HU now holds a board seat. Looking ahead, I see an important role for LCRDM in helping institutions navigate the growing Open Science landscape by filtering key developments and supporting impactful initiatives.

If LCRDM were a band, it would be the bass guitar—laying the foundation and connecting all the instruments. Just like the bass, LCRDM plays a quiet yet essential role in coordinating and linking initiatives across the open science and RDM landscape, ensuring harmony and collaboration.
