Getting to know...Rianne Fijten

As part of the OSC-NL executive team, Rianne Fijten is dedicated to advancing Open Science in the Netherlands. Her passion for making science more transparent, collaborative, and accessible led her to join the LCRDM Advisory Board. By bringing insights from the Open Science community into advisory discussions, she hopes to strengthen the connection between researchers and LCRDM.

Although she has only recently joined the board, Rianne has already contributed input on key topics and looks forward to making a meaningful impact. In her daily work, she is an assistant professor at Maastricht University, specializing in the clinical implementation and adoption of AI. 

In the coming year, Rianne aims to ensure that Open Science remains a key priority for LCRDM. She also hopes to explore ways for researchers to engage more actively with and benefit from LCRDM’s work. And her question for the next person in this series? If LCRDM were a band, what instrument would you play—and why?
